I was given the opportunity to try my had at creating a lenten vestment. The design is an overshot pattern of purple on purple. I am working with the client over the internet and right now we are making decisions about the structure and the pattern. I really enjoy commission work because I want to weave something special, something custom for the person that wants it. It is so hard to use the crystal ball to know what color, what article, what design, what size anyone person might be interested. It is far more gratifying at time to weave a custom hand made quality product. I am using Egyptian cotton and a silk bamboo blend.
