Cotton Embroidery thread, handkerchief, hand dyed cotton

Started a new handkerchief this past spring break. It was the beginning of the "quarantine" and I was starting out with a handful of academic words that I had collected during my semester back to academia. I chose the blue for a revitalized interest in my dutch roots. I had been painting in my drawing class in the study and style of the delft pottery decorative arts. Then words crept in that were repeated over and over. This is a meditative way I work, however every way I work has meditative qualities. This is however the most portable of all of my work, it fits in my pocket. It was traveling with me and the words were flying at me. Pandemic, pandemonium, chaos... I have had a minor set back during safer at home and I have not been able to stitch due to four stitches in my dominant index finger. The trip to the ER was uneventful, I was the only patient in the waiting room. I was thankful however to leave with stitches rather than going for no reason. These times are weird. When I am healed I am going to keep my head down and stitch away. What words would you add?
